liquidating Amex GCs

Forgive me in advance if this is not the correct place to ask; I'm still a newbie in this area.

My wife has received a few AMEX GCs from her employer for various bonuses and we want to liquidate them into cash. What is the best way to do this?

Money Order? Is there a fee? I know VGC/MCGC work for MO but would AMEX work if there is no PIN enabled? Whats an alternative method?
Sell it on one of the GC resale websites? which ones?

Any thoughts on using a different angle of a digital service like Google Wallet or FB to send the money to a friend and have them write me a check or Venmo?
