JetBlue questions
« on: September 20, 2011, 10:43:53 AM »
I'm looking to fly on JetBlue this February from BOS to LAS.
Is Jetblue partnered with anyone? Can I somehow use AA miles or starpoints for this trip?

JetBlue's award flights and necessary points are directly related to the current cost of a paid ticket, so not worth it to transfer SPG or MR EVER to them (except maybe topping off).
And you can't use AA miles either.
The best option is paying for your tickets.
Sorry.

Anyone have experience with cancelling/changing a JetBlue award ticket and somehow avoiding the $100 fee?

You can't.

How about ways to prevent miles from expiring (without actually taking a flight)?

No other ways IIRC. In how long do they expire?

I have 4 one-way JetBlue award tickets for a flight from Florida this evening (SRQ-LGA). But I'm not in Florida, so there's no way I'm going to use these tickets. These tickets were 5k pts each, and JetBlue says it costs $75 each to change or cancel and reinstate the points. I don't think it pays for me to "buy back" these points at a rate of 1.5 cents. Is there any way to salvage any value from these tickets, or is it a lost cause?

thx
