Hi all,
I sent CO an email today requesting a status match (status challenge, actually) to OnePass Platinum Elite, and attached a scan of a Flying Blue Platinum card (as a JPEG file). It's my first time ever doing this, so naturally I have lots of questions.
1) How long should it take for a response? I know the CO site says "7-14 days", but what has peoples' actual experiences been - how long has it actually taken to be upgraded to CO Plat?
2) Is there any chance they might deny me? I.e. Is sending a scan of a card good enough for it to be an "open and shut case", or should I worry they may flatly deny me for some stupid reason, or perhaps suddenly start demanding additional documentation?
3) Dan mentioned
here that if a CO Plat books a ticket for someone else, that person gets *G benefits, such as 3x70 bags flying EWR-TLV on CO. Does that work for someone who is on the 90-day status challenge? I.e. if they approve my status match and give me 90 days of CO Plat, and I book a ticket using my miles for Yonason Doe during that time on CO metal, will he be entitled to *G bennies?
4) I didn't get any response from them - not even an auto-reply saying that my email was received. Is that normal? Or should I re-send the email?
Thanks in advance!
