"Note: you must add your card in this manner in order to be eligible for this offer." any idea if this works if the card is already linked to my Google pay?

I got the $25 offer. but I already have the app and my freedom card has already been downloaded. Anyone think it won't work?
Would a purchase at a vending machine qualify?
