Click---find a dealer ---enter zip code --chose Chrysler Pacifica once on the dealer's website and browse for a minute and a window will pop up with the $50 offer. I did the test drive today, not sure if it is one per person or household.

Is there ona'as devarim if you have no intent to buy the car? I'm not even talking about the gift card, I mean can you even do the test drive?

Really?! Driving a Chrysler gets you blown away? I will admit that the furnishings are pretty nice, but drive it for 2 months and tell me if you still want it.

They hope to get you excited enough to buy... They are fully aware that many times it results in no sale.

For ona'as devarim I dont know if that is enough. I don't think you can patronize the sales staff if you have no intention of buying, regardless of whether they know that "many times it results in no sale."

Right now I'm happy with my Sienna but I don't mind checking out the Chrysler to see if I would consider it next. I can't say that there is no chance of ever buying one when the time is right even though I am not buying one today or tomorrow. $50 is enough of an incentive for me to keep it in mind for a future purchase. If I don't try it out then I probably won't consider it when the time comes.

Usually the way these things work, they want as many people to test drive whether you're dreaming of buying one or not. You never know if you'll convince someone to buy the car or even advertise for them a little bit by just telling a few guys that you went and tested out their car... $50 and a test drive is a drop in the bucket for their advertising budget, it's worth it for them to have you come in.

Just test drove. Painless. The car itself has a ton of features but it seems like a junkie car. No resale value...at the end the guy asked me for my offer code and that was it!

Correct. I am not a posek, but I would assume that these promos would not fall under the issue of Onnas Devarim, as they are designed with a specific purpose in mind....

Last time I came in for a test drive, the rep asked where's the paper for the offer, he filled it out and handed it back to me, saw I wasn't interested in buying or even thinking about buying so he filled out the paper right away, the friend I took along was kind of annoyed, he was waiting to be able to test drive one of the cars!

Had that too with Kia I think, never got the card though...
