Alternatives to Wrangler (4 WD)
« on: January 13, 2021, 10:15:52 PM »
Looking for rental alternatives that will fit 6 ppl. Planning on using on TBI (Hawaii).

Thinking about getting Chevy Tahoe or VW Atlas but don’t know much about either one.

Where are you going that you need 4WD?

For Waipio Valley I'd say Wrangler or bust (AND know how to use it). If you need to fit 6 people then hire someone to take you down.

For things like Mauna Kea even a regular car can technically make it, although a solid SUV would probably be better.

Don’t have a planned itinerary but figured better to have ....... didn’t plan on doing Waipio with kids in car :)

What do you consider a “solid“ SUV?

Btw, love to hear suggestions as will be there for near 2 weeks.
