I was in Phoenix DL Lounge a few weeks ago with wife and 2 kids.
We brought in kosher food from Kitchen 18 - and i asked the food prep employee's if we could get some whole uncut veggies for my kids to snack on as well.
After my (3yr old) kid being presented with a whole English cucumber and a bowl of cherry tomatoes and other veggies,
I witnessed a lounge employee expel another guest for bringing in outside food.
The agent was clearly aware of us eating our kosher food from kitchen 18 - and i think they just gave us a pass because they realized we couldn't eat the other food.

On multiple occasions I've been told something about my food, but was always given a pass when I explained that I can only eat kosher food

I also googled it afterward and found it. No question, that this is their official policy. The point is many (if not most) of the guests are unaware of this policy, and there is no sign advising of this policy anywhere on the premises.

I'm not sure I believe you.

Prohibiting food from outside is a very common rule, one that would presumably be enforced if it were Halal, McDonald's, or Kosher Express.

The way to have played this, assuming OP was not aware of the rule, was to have asked the guard respectfully to speak to the manager, and respectfully explain the issue.  If granted an exception, fine, but if not, you stop eating.
I had a similar story as OP at the UA lounge in DEN.
It's mainly nasty lounge workers after a bad day going on a power ride.

I disagree that it's common rule.
McDonald's would not allow outside food because they want you to buy their food, and not is their facilities for outside food.

But why a lounge would care, I have no idea.

In many instances, pulling out a camera will escalate a situation you are trying to deescalate.
And that's why we need body cameras.
