Opened my phone after Shabbos to discover (pun intended) a notice about suspicious activity. Turns out someone charged a total of about $4,000 all over, ranging from a Coca-Cola vending machine, up to hundreds of $ at Macy's. Seems like an AU card might have been lost.

Update. I was asked by Discover to file a police report. Got a phone call from the detective today saying that there's video footage of the thief using the card at Macy's (needed additional info from me in order to get a subpoena). Amazingly, the perp that had the card and charged so much on it was actually arrested that Shabbos for shoplifting.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Very interesting, especially that a detective did follow up.

I guess the reason they actually followed up is because they actually made an arrest for shoplifting and found the CC in that person's possession. It's not like the did some outstanding detective work.

Take a special breed of idiot to shoplift when he's paying for things with a stolen cc anyways
