I heard the same story about mannis freedman, he had a flier that said Mr. Freedman on it, as he didn't have smicha, and the rebbe crossed out Mr. and Wrote Rabbi

Rabbi: Smicha not practicing.

Rav: Practicing rabbi of a shul.

HaRav: Paskins halacha.

Or something else better...

  I become a Doctor when ordering online, especially when ordering from Charles Tyrwhitt. ;) 

 And in BMG one becomes a rabbi after the 1st zman, hence the 2nd zman learning there, you're officially a rabbi.
