Going to the city is a shlep - so if the food is, indeed, of comparable quality, it's a pretty good deal.

Hmm...

5 minute drive vs. 35 minute drive (with no traffic). 5 min drive wins.

2 minutes spent looking for free parking or (depending on when you go) 2 minutes spent looking for parking that costs ~$20-30. Free parking wins.

Time = money, and money = money.

I agree with you, and after my one experience, I don't plan on going back there (although I know that isn't completely fair, because I've been to restaurants that I like a lot and had disappointing experience - it just wasn't my first time there, so I already knew that I liked the place overall).

I'm simply pointing out that if someone DOES like the food there, then it saves time. And if he thinks it's just as good, then why go to the city.

Again, I agree with you, and because i do, I probably WOULD go to the city 

AJK - most areas in manhattan, you can get free parking (dpending when you're going), and even if not, you can print out a coupon online for 6 hours of parking for $10-15.

And if you like the food better, it's worth going to the city.

also for me if im "going out to eat" i dont mind making a night of it in the city i usually dont go spending that type of money at a restuarant on a typical dinner if im staying local ill go to a much cheaper place like jerusalem steakhouse or even cheaper and go to schnitzel king etc

I actually like jerusalem steakhouse. i find their steaks to be excellent.
