Looks like a pretty ok use of miles... I'd rather save mine for Air Travel in Business ..but to each their own and it does seem like you can get pretty good deal out of it.  Just priced out 4 days with a Caddy for 25,000 total.. Not awful..

the real benefit would be if anyone knows if there is a way to use the worthless BA miles for car rentals (i see no mention of it online)
with new surcharges every day, i'm not even sure the $99 and credit hit were worth it for 100000

Not sure about that but I do recall reading somewhere that BA would be announcing a program where you could redeem miles for Hotels etc like Continental/Delta have.

Can't seem to find it out. Anyone else know what I'm talking about?

15000 miles= 25 GBP europcar voucher (does that mean it can only be used in UK?)
never rented a car in UK is this a good deal?
£25.00=$38.50

The last comment on this topic was almost two years ago, so I'd like to clarify.
Is there any caveat when using miles to pay for a car rental?
In my case specifically, I'm referring to Delta; but it's a general question as well.

TIA

You can't get your CC's insurance if you use miles...
I made a booking using BA miles last year for a car in LAX and on the voucher it said it INCLUDES insurance, but on payday BA didn't pay for it, so Avis charged me, and I had to dispute and get all the headaches...
But the last time I checked, they changed their policy and now it DOES NOT include insurance, and you can't use your cc, so u must have your own insurance (for collision too...)

prepaying gas should work for cc coverage
