Hawaii Trip
« on: September 21, 2011, 01:09:05 AM »
I've booked quite a few hawaii/west coast trips for people.

Dan--How do I get you to book for me? ;)

Seriously though, I want to go to Hawaii on my honeymoon this January. Is it too late to get in on some of the deals people have taken advantage of in the past? Not sure I have so many miles/points (just started with the 'game' recently) but I have a pretty decent sized budget.

Also, any recommendations about Shabbos? Which island is the best/most convenient and does it pay to plan my trip around that?

Dan's Concierge is the ultimate.
Although I think its by invite only and has been unavailable lately due to other commitments.

But start a thread here, you may be surprised at what info you'll glean.

+1

Some of the folks on DDF are rather knowledgeable and quite helpful!

Is there anyone else on the site that has time to book?

I would really love to go Dan Style ;) and there seems to be so many great deals around I just don't want to get ripped off.

I have probably read the Hawaai threads over and over again and I seem to be a little lost.

Ideally January 12-22 but those dates are pretty flexible. I work in corporate america so vacation days are limited considering yomim tovim so I'm trying to wrap around MLK day (Jan 16).

Also, my wife want to go to LA for the first weekend (could be second weekend if it makes more sense) becuase she does't want to spend 2 shabbosim in Hawaii.

FYI- I have 50k AA points to work with, just got approved for Chase Saphire Prefer so in 6 weeks will have between 50k-100k of those points and I'm having my wife triple browser the Hyatt card so we could potentially just do Kauaui at HGK for free.

3BM is where you apply for 3 different cards from same bank...churn is apply for card, spend/get bonus, close, do it again. It can be confusing, just chazer iber the forums and with time you'll get the hang of it.

quote from dan ok

"3 Browser Method"
The 3 browser method (3BM) is a technique that I came up with about 8 years ago with that has now spread across the web.  It has helped me accumulate hundreds of credit cards (including dozens of the same exact card) along with millions of miles for free.  There's no reason you can't do it as well! Basically the idea is to apply for 3 different credit cards from the same bank (Either from AMEX, Chase, Citi, etc.) at the same exact time using 3 different web browsers, like Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, etc, etc.

Got it. Thanks for the help. 2 follow up questions (and sorry for doing it in this forum)-- can my wife apply and report my income as household income? She is still in school so it may be hard for her to get a card.

Also, and back to Hawaii, if I have 7 days is it worth it to do 2 islands?
