Delta Award help

I booked an award ticket a few weeks ago for a round trip Thanksgiving weekend for 40k miles. The price is now 32.5k miles and i need to book a second ticket. I tried calling to have them refund me 7.5k miles and book the additional ticket. The supervisor i spoke with would not negotiate the $150 fee. Any advice is appreciated.

Are you a medallion member? Call the premium service number on the back of your card. They work miracles (sometimes)

Besides being a medallion member I don't have that much good advice.    I had the same problem in August and did manage to completely cancel the ticket and they refunded me the $150 change fee and I just re-booked.  I guess my best advice would be to just keep calling and hopefully get lucky!
 Try calling different departments as well! Good luck!

I sent a message via the delta website. They sent me a $50 voucher and told me that I couldnt cancel without the $150 fee.

Wow... that's pretty unheard of for them. Better than nothing. You could still try calling again.
