not the case, although even if it was, amex cant know that
very simple program, sales are limited and retailers cannot purchase thousands of items at sale price, so BG sends out lists of items they want, and buyer buys them at sale price, gaining points/cash back (amazon 5%) sometimes with a small markup.
i cant see a reason why if run well it shouldnt be sustainable and legal.

Again I don't really know how BG works but just from the concepts I see few holes, especially logistic costs.
Anyway, the focus here is AMEX, which unfortunately, I think you're out of luck. Quickly burn your remaining points.
What sucks for you is if you rely on DL cards for MQM and MQD waiver. It might make me rethink airline loyalty altogether.

I don't really have much DP on anyone ever being a customer again. (for reasons other than defaulting AMEX) But I would give at least 12 months a minimum.
With no cards, applying probably will be HP even when denied.
One thing I can think of to test the water is opening their bank account to see if AMEX is cutting all ties to you or not. Not sure it will help or not but if you are denied banking too, I would say credit card will be denied too.

Does the shutdown matter if it was a FR or not?
FR is just a way for amex to verify your spend etc and give you a chance to reopen and looks like recently amex has closed accounts without going through the FR route.

Normally, if you are an AMEX cardholder and apply for more cards you will get HP only when approved and no HP when denied. But in your case, you might not be considered a cardholder anymore.
So HP regardless of approved or denied.

Agree, FR does not apply to your case.
For FR, you can easily get approved by providing 4506.

Mr depending on if they claim points abuse can be used for 30/60 days
does that apply to amazon points on the amex amazon prime card as well?
