 What are you folks doing if you had such an offer 40k honors point after spending 1000 in the forts 4 months of activation ?

I have gotten their offers for fifty k and still don't feel IMHO that it's worth it. Most you can get with say forty is two nights in a mid range hotel saving you about three hundred bucks. The sapphire chase for example with fifty k points is worth double. And the list goes on.

I wouldn't waste an app for 40,000 points. There is at least a 50,000 offer floating around out there, but even then... But if you really want HH points I might suggest going for the BofA or BofHawaii Hawaiian Airlines card that each offers 35,000 Hawaiian miles which you can then transfer 1:2 into Hilton. Get both of those cards and you've got an instant 140,000 HH points which can get you a few nights in an upper tier Hilton.

Because AMEX inquiries and total cards allowed are worth more than Citi inquiries and total cards allowed?  (i.e. there are other better amex cards to chrun, but not that mant other better citi cards that can be easily churned anymore.)

The lifetime elite status is the main benefit of either card.

i plan on doing a 3bm soon now that the match days seem to be over and they dont transfer to CO/UA is this not a good option
 and eithr way which cards should i include?
