Palestinian passports
« on: March 31, 2019, 12:17:27 PM »
Didn't want to interrupt the Kalman Yeager thread (I need time to formulate my controversial post there), but in the meantime let's start a quick survey of how many people you personally know (extended family) that arrived at these shores with Palestinian passports?

My great uncle definitely came here with a Palestinian passport. DW's grandparents and two uncles also came with Palestinian passports (uncles were actually listed as being born there), not sure about her aunt (I'm sure her descendants on DDF could clarify).

Palestinian passports or passports that say they were born in Palestine?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mandatory_Palestine_passport

British travel documents. Not country of Palestine. Et tu?

To all those that voted "Palestine Never Existed" in the poll, here are some images found online. None of the following are related to me.

Note "Government of Palestine" and the stamp on the passport that says "Palestinian Citizen".

You are correct. British travel documents from Mandatory Palestine issued by...His Majesty's High Commissioner pursuant to Palestinian Citizenship Orders of 1925 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palestinian_Citizenship_Order,_1925

Omg do you consider British Mandate of Palestine's curency as Palestinian curency?
Is Arabic a Palestinian language? There was never a Palestinian nation the same way there is no brooklyn nation so if brooklyn will become part of new jersey it's just a different government so instead of the British you have the Israelis it's not like Germany occupied poland etc.

Is Arabic a Syrian,Lebanese or Egyptian language? About currency, google it, the Palestinian pound existed , yes it was under the mandate but it did exist, and it was titled Palestine Currency Board. As to an independent country , it was never independent, so yes, no king or president.

Kalman Yeger has his own thread on DDF, that's a separate discussion than what's going on here. How many people do you know that came to these shores with a Palestinian passport? That is simply a question of fact.
