Is anything solid? Meaning even rocks can be broken down to its bare atoms. So by that definition what does solid even mean? Cuz the moon is a rock IINM

Apollo cost=$170,000,000,000 in 2019 dollars.
Bereisheet cost=$99,000,000

That cost was for the ENTIRE Apollo program which included developing rocket, communications and computer technology that didn’t yet exist. It also included SIX manned missions to the moon and several other manned missions to orbit.

Bereisheet used a SpaceX rocket, as well as other existing technology for their moon lander.

Technically it should cost <$1 Billion to send a man to the moon today, but because NASA hasn’t built such rockets in fifty years, it will require them to go back to the drawing board. Once they spend a few billion developing the rocket and lander, they should be able to take men to the moon for under a billion per trip.
