Paid rental. Not coupons.

When I picked up the car in NY, the agent did something to the rental that messed up the 1 way rate I had.
When I dropped the car off in VA, the receipt I got was for $300 more then it was supposed to be. After a bit of schmoozing, the rep managed to change my reservation to say I dropped it back off in NY and the new receipt went back down to the original price.

Instead of this in the wiki
"Only give in the vouchers at the return and make sure they only credit it at the return, just in case there's an accident you want the CC to consider it as a paid rental. (anyone with a clearer and more concise way of writing that please feel free..)"
I think it should be replaced with this
"Seeing as the CC only covers rentals paid in full by the CC (points/vouchers are not considered paid by the CC), one should only give the coupons at the end of the rental to Hertz just in case you need to make a claim Chsv"shlm. But if you do need to make a claim DO NOT MENTION THE COUPON and pay in full so that the CC won't have a reason not to pay for the damage."

IMHO it should not make a difference to the cc company that vouchers are being used because it shows up as a regular pc code that just takes slot off the rental, rather than a different pc that takes $5 off per day.

It sound right but as far as i know the CC company told me otherwise seeing as its a free day and there is no charge other than taxes.
The whole free day coupon is kind of grey in regard to Hertz and the CC company.

I have had bad stories with legitimate coupons in a location in NJ. The lady wanted to call the police on me for having fraud coupons even though i had the letter from Hertz that it actually came with. It was too close to Shabbos to start dealing with it so i just left and emailed executive. She was fired as to my understanding. But they are so confused themselves that i hate using them.

similar thing happened to me in monsey guy claimed they were fake and refused to give them back to me

well not only did she not give it back to me, i showed it her it was real by taking out the envelope from hertz which had another one inside and she stole that one too
