Been there for awhile. They may never ask you for them (before, or after) but that doesn't mean they're doing the "official" thing.

Don't know about Lakewood, but I've never been denied a Premium if that's what I had on my reservation (unless they "made up" that they didn't have any more Premiums available).
Oftentimes if they don't have my Premium (again, not Lakewood), I've gotten upgrades to Luxury..

Notice in the warning message that coupon may be required at time of return

Of course, and if they forget to ask you for it, you get a free rental.. But that doesn't change the "official terms", which the rental agent CAN ask you for, if he/she knows what it says / if they care.

Abet Rich, you make it seem like you've never used those before. do you just sell them and not use them yourself?

anyone who used these even only a handful of times will share their horror stories of being asked for the certs at the beginning of the rental, or worse, being asked for proof that you work for the Corp on the coupons.

$25-$35 daily.

YMMV mixing with USAA.

+1 picked up today under a premium reservation and they gave me a Infinity Q50. Last week also picked up on a premium reservation and got a Cadillac ATS. Never had any problems with it.

I personally have used it 6 separate times in the last three weeks and never had any whatsoever of a problem. 3 of the times I wasn't even asked for the certificates and the other 3 at return they said something like btw it says something on this about giving in some type of coupon.
Today at pickup, I walked in and they had my contract already printed up in the back and brought me straight to my car just to do an inspection.

Just curious, but where do you somehow see that it sounds like I never used them?

And just btw, all 6 times that u rented with them just recently was all under the USAA CDP

Most locations don't know what to do with these in the first place so just the fact that some language changed on the back won't make any difference.

I have never been asked for them up front, and as an aside, I have always gotten a premium (ie. the stupid impala they call a premium)
