Because had we had a Republican president then he would be free?? Just like Bush Sr + JR let Pollard go.

Not that I disagree- there are many other reasons that them bums must go.
Don't make a petition site if you don't want to answer hard questions.
Imagine how much good will Obama could have generated with a more respectful answer.

As far as Pollard, I've always felt there must be something much deeper going on that nobody wants to talk about.  The way his camp reacted to the Pollard petition only served to support that view.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Apparently, this wasn't the only petition to get a no comment response.

While its downright wrong what they're doing I think they'll still come out ahead with this website.
Only the people who signed these petitions and a small circle know about the no comment response, while many more know of this "amazing initiative of the Obama admin to petition to the White House directly".

So unless this farce gets serious mainstream media coverage, it remains good publicity.

So who's going to write up another petition to pardon Sholom Rubashkin?

What's the point of doing it again?

I wondered the last time why the petition was for an "investigation into allegations of prosecutorial and judicial misconduct" instead of just asking for an outright pardon from Obama.

The White House said they can't comment on judicial misconduct, but how about a request for an outright pardon?  Much worse people have been pardoned before.

Yes, but it usually cost a few million to a relative or shell company. Maybe we should just start a collection.

+1... At least that would seemingly force Oooooohbama to give a direct answer and not sidestep the issue.

i think if all the people who signed the petition would call the whitehouse once a week it would perhaps have some sort of an impact perhaps  a raised eyebrow by mr obama
after all he needs our money for his campain funds and wants to get reelected   and is sending his vp to lure the jewish money/votes
let him do something positive to earn our money and votes

unfortunately i dont think calling the white house would have an effect at all on this case
this petition was public and everyone knew about it and it still did nothing,  a couple of phone calls that no one else knows about will not influence obama at all

50,000 phone calls a week will definitely make a difference.

yeah but you will never get 50,000 phone calls a week
to sign up for the petition took 2 seconds and that was it
most ppl dont have the time or inclination to call up the white house once a week and talk to someone

Granted, but if people took the time/effort to do so, I'm sure it would have an effect. Even if it was 'only' 10,000/week.
