flying blue not allowing delta bookings online. this is not phantom availability issue, phone agents can book it, you need to ask them to waive booking fee. however they cant book cash plus points option which allows you to book for 25 % less miles

yes just booked for june 15. also good since you can redeem for as little as 21k and the difference in cash at very reasonable rate, by phone you need the full 29k

in some other positive news [which really belongs on different thread]  elal seems to have released a bit more seats to qantas [pandemic probably a factor..] even some night flights, e,g tlv - jfk on june 22 and quite a few dates with business class seats

basically they give you 3 options

business leaving nyc - 72k and $10.   63k and $171.  54k and $332.   not good value.

coach - 29k and $10.  25400 and $53 21800 and $96

also worth mentioning that flying blue slices off hefty portion of virgin atlantic  surcharges. jfk - tlv is $280 on fb as compared to 492 virgin charges
