He wont serve 27 years. He will either be pardoned by Obama or released in 5 years

Wish it was true, he wont be pardoned by Obama,  there are more famous cases then Rubashkin and wont be released in 5 years.

Source? Sounds like conjecture to me.

Obama has nothing to gain or lose by pardoning him.

He could do it as a good will gesture to the jewish community or in exchange for a few million for is library probably in the works by rechnitz ;)

re: another 5 years, wiki shows release as 2033?

Federal Bureau of Prisons Register #10755-029, scheduled date of release: March 6, 2033; currently imprisoned at Federal Correctional Institution, Otisville

Which puts the sentence at 25 years from 2008? any ways, I figure he wont serve half with 10 kids and good behavior etc

He could have plead guilty, taken 5 years. IMHO there was a sort of arrogance in postville. Agri was huge and money was rolling in by the hundreds of millions, sure there was anti semitism and im sure he was railroaded but he's hardly clean and innocent.. He wont serve 27 years. He will either be pardoned by Obama or released in 5 years

First, it was never clear what exactly his plea offer was. It was not publicized AFAIK. Where did you get "5 years" from? I have heard various numbers ranging from 10-15 years, and it included him providing testimony against other managers at Agri.

Second, Hussein allahu Obama does not give a da*n about Rubashkin. Obama's progressive mission is to free mega drug dealers, because it's "inhumane" to make those dealers [who provide people with meth and heroin so that they can destroy themselves and those around them]  sit in prison.

Third, there is no parole for Federal prison. Sadly, unless a miracle happens he will have to sit the full term.

There is a new law waiting to be passed that seniors with 2/3 served should be released from prison. This law will eventually help him if everything fails.

Will this law be applicable to Federal prisoners? that is the catch 22.

IINM the law will affect everyone not only the seniors, but for the seniors they will include the time they served already (prior to passing this law) towards the 2/3 unlike everyone else.

Oh, you're in law school? You mean you'll be a lawyer one day?

I wouldn't know anything about that.
