Isn't this a MAP pricing violation?
What, pray tell, does any of this have to do with MAP?
Is B&H allowed to offer a rebate on items that would lower the effective price below MAP? Disclaimer: I'm no expert on MAP, but heard from people selling stuff online wondering how b&h could get away with this.
This card does not actually refund the sales tax. “This is not a refund or reimbursement of the sales/use tax.” It issues a rewards credit equal to the sales tax. This *supposed* distinction is important because many states prohibit merchants from eating the cost of sales tax; it must be paid by the consumer.
Why does this lower MAP? All it does is reduce the upcharge of the sales tax. And if you're in a state without tax, you indeed don't get it
The card is issued by Synchrony, and they're the one the interest is being paid to.
I know nothing more than you do these days.
how does it feel to say that?PayBoo
I'm under 5/24 so I don't know if it was the smartest choice for me to sign up. If need be, will it help to say that it's a store card?
