Marriot Bonvoy to Compete with AirBnB

I wonder if you would be able to book through points, and how they'd deal with all the categories
If only we had jury duty every day, then we'd have time to write trip reports about the entire universe.

Hyatt tried this and failed... They let you use points as a cash value that wasnt great. I think it was 10K points for $100 IIRC

10k points for $100 cash value would not be bad for Marriott points. Not at all.
I'm not who you think I am.

And Marriott likely wouldn't do that

I didn't realize Marriott already had this in a few select cities - https://www.tributeportfoliohomes.com/

Looks like there the point redemptions are valued at .004

Now live!

https://homes-and-villas.marriott.com

I saw valuations at about .6-.7 cents a point. Most of the properties are ridiculously expensive.

I had a hard time finding availability for the summer. Also, some residences will show up as a result to not-so-nearby places. For example, the island of Hvar in Croatia's sole availability was in Trogir, on the mainland.
