Duolingo - split a family plan
« on: November 14, 2023, 03:43:00 PM »
I've been using Duolingo, and I'd like to keep working with it.
It's free.  But they limit how much practice you can do and they have ad interruptions.
You can pay for a "super" account, but it's $7 a month!  NOT worth it.
But, they have a family plan.  $120 for a year for up to 6 accounts in the plan.

So
Is there anyone here using Duolingo?  Who's interested in paying $2/ month ($24 / a year) ? to have unlimited access to the app?

If we actually get 6 people, we each pay less than $2/ mon.  But I'd be surprised to get even 5 people.

Always had an interest in learning another language.  Question is does it really help and make it easy to learn?

Which language are you learning?
Jews ≠ Zionists
Palestinians ≠ Hamas
Satmar ≠ SatmarHQ

I'm not finding it too hard or tedious to do the lessons.  I don't know if I would remember the vocabulary well; I recognize the words I need from their choices.
I suggest you start - free - and see what it does for you.
There are people on YouTube who became fluent with the app.  But I think the app only takes you so far.  At some point, you need real conversations.

I searched 'split duolingo family plan' and found this Facebook page.

I asked to join, and responded to a post.
I gave my money to someone who added me to their plan for the year.

Good news, I sold my three extra spots. Bad news, my MIL wanted a spot. Long story short, I signed up for another family plan for her and have three spots remaining again.

$20 for 12 months. Family plan started today, 1/18. DM me if interested.
