Bloomberg.com points out that EWR ranked last from US airports while ATL came in first.
I definitely would prefer EWR over its neighbor JFK for efficiency and cleanliness, and even more so for on time performance.
ATL certainly wouldn't top my list for best US airport, I'd prefer LAX which is .43 points lower than ATL. Overall the ratings don't nearly match my personal preferences.

It's similar to how Marriott Bonvoy, won program of the year.
