Don't need any nicknames as Dan already is a nickname.  Hated the name in high school in fact where it got started, but it stuck nonetheless (or precisely because of that?). 

Still my F&F call me by the hebrew or english pronunciations of Daniel.  Which makes a total of at least 3 names I'll answer to.

Dan is his name but not what I  call him.

Went away from home at 13 years old to high school in Achei Temimim PIT (3 years)
At 16 I went to Ohr Elchonon Chabad LA (2 years)
At 18 I went to Chovivei Torah in Crown Heights (1 year). Didn't do the more popular Oholei Torah because tuition was 4x the price and they wouldn't send me on Shlichus after 1 year because I was too young.
At 19 I went on bochur shlichus and got tested on melicha in Sao Paulo by Rav Yosef Feigelstock and Rav Shamai Ende
At 20 I went back to Ohr Elchonon and got tested on basar b'chalav, taaruvos, and shabbos and got smicha from Rav Dovid Schochet and got a BA in Liberal Arts from the Rosh, Rav Ezra Schochet.
At 21 I went to Yeshivas Baldwin Wallace in CLE and got an MBA, 3.978 GPA with a single A- from a professor who wanted to mess with me for being a perfectionist and to have a better story to tell

At least in the Chabad system, at 4 yeshivas, I'm below average in the number of yeshivas attended between mesivta, zal, bochur shlichus, and smicha. 5 would be typical and 6 not unheard of.
