Hi. I had to change the flights of my kids from USair to Continental because the USair flight was getting in too late before Sukkot. They told me there was  $500 cancellation fee ($250 per ticket), then we would have to buy a ticket at the current rate- Continental was cheaper so I booked them there.

Since I bought the 2 tickets last December 2010, they are saying that my kids have to fly before December in order to be able to use the residual credit. They are saying it is from the date of booking 1 year, not from the day of the flight (which I have seen before).

What do I do with these USair money that I have with them (about $1900)? Is there something I can do to get the money back besides flying $1900 with before Decmeber? Thanks.
