Best Card for a Future Trip
« on: June 18, 2019, 03:52:19 PM »
Hi All,
If I want to take my family to Israel in a few years and want to pay for the big stuff (flight, hotel, car) with miles or points, what is the best card to start using now to accrue enough rewards to make this a reality?
Thanks Folks.

Amex cards offering MR points and chase cards offering UR points will give you the most versatility because they can be transferred to airlines and hotels.
If you have specific hotels you want to book it may be better to get a card from that brand as you may get more points on the sign up bonus.
I'm not who you think I am.

Capital one venture won't be a good option?
As you get 2 pt. Per dollar and you could pay your CC with your points
(I'm not saying, I'm asking)
I’m in shape, round is a shape…

Thanks @grodnoking I dont have a specific hotel in, just something in Jerusalem and I'd like to fly direct (from Miami).  If you had to recommend either the Amex or Chase cards (I'd probably get a business card if it made more sense) which would you do?

Hilton Amex aspire and ascend for Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem

Citi, capital one, or Amex cards for Qantas miles to redeem on Elal.
Risk is opportunity
