We all know that @Dan likes to bring back Apropos (I second that, though they can be found in the US now for quite exorbitant prices, and since @Dan wrote about them they also came out with a delicious milk chocolate covered version), Doritos Chamutz Charif (some of my kids like that), as well as hopes for bringing CY Ben & Jerry's.

While some of the snacks are nice to have (I like to bring back עוגיות עבאדי, the original sesame, as well as extra crispy), I find the real delicacies to bring back (timely for Shavuos) are dairy items.

An all time favorite of our family is Tenuva 9% (no low fat c..p) Cottage Cheese. No other Cottage cheese that I have sampled comes close!!! A traditional family snack after someone comes back from EY is Apropos with Tenuva Cottage Cheese.

With the recent conversion of Tara dairy to Badatz Eida Chareidis, Müller yogurts are also excellent. DW declared the Kiwi flavor to be the best, while my kids loved the Pear flavor. I don't go for sweetened stuff, but during my recent visit, I treated myself to a 5% fat content smooth Müller yogurt with granola - simply out of this world.

גבינה צפתית is also a favorite. I personally think that the one produced by Y. Mordechai dairy of Moshav Beit Gamliel (scarcely available - have seen it only in Kfar Chabad, under supervision of Rav Landa BB) is much better (in taste and texture) than the Tenuva one, though the Tenuva one is packed in sturdy packaging that can better withstand the beating of travel, and is usually longer dated.

גבינת חרמון is also extremely welcome in our house, unlike all of the above, it can be frozen, and though it loses some of its texture, it's ok since we use it mostly in baking and/or cooking.

A recent addition to the Israel shopping list is a laundry additive called Vanish (actually manufactured in Italy, and possibly elsewhere in the EU). DW says that nothing she has seen in the US comes close to it in removing stains or brightening whites. It comes in a regular version and a version specifically for whites.

Luckily, on my most recent trip, the suitcase with the non-perishables was the one that was mishandled by Swiss, so we got everything more or less OK.

What's on your Israeli shopping list to bring back to the US?

Yeah. We all know about Materna, it even has a dedicated DDF thread. I've had my kids partially pay for their tickets by bringing suitcases full of that, but those are sold all over, and are just brought for economic reasons, as they're about $10 cheaper per container in EY (or better if bought there on sale), or before Pesach to bring some of the KFP run.

My question is what do people bring for personal use/consumption that simply cannot be bought in the US.

Doritos wont save you much now that Bingo sells them. If you get them on sale in Israel for 4 for 10nis, it"ll cost 68 cents, while here its 75 cents. And it takes up a nice amount of room in your suitcase.
I'm not who you think I am.

But its legit.
I just bought a Snapple for 10₪, but it's still not the same as getting a snapple in America.

How much does it cost YOU to get a RT from CLE to Boro Park or Lakewood?

Besides, I find that they don't puff up the Israeli snacks enough, and they really get crushed (unless packed with extra care) taking the journey from TLV to the US.

The real shopping is for items that are simply not available in the US.

I'm not sure about bringing heavy items just to save a few $$$, especially when you can't bring that many.

I happened to stumble onto the Vanish laundry additive for ILS 19.90 for the 1.35kg box (regular price is about ils 29.90). Since those aren't available in the US, I brought quite a few.

Yup. More interesting would be good wines that aren't imported to the US.

Apparently, this is sold by Amazon.ca under a different name https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0717BQLV9/ref=vp_c_AFNXISR2Q8WIN?ie=UTF8&m=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB but Amazon.ca say they won't ship this to the US.

I have heard of Resolve in the US.  How do you you know this is the same product?  Exact label?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vanish_(stain_remover)

Quote
Vanish is a brand of stain removing products owned by Reckitt Benckiser, sold in Australia, India, Indonesia, Russia, South Africa, Latin America, the United Kingdom and much of Europe.[1] In North America, these products are sold under the Resolve brand name.

They don't seem to sell the Resolve Gold Oxi-Action, Ultimate Laundry Stain Remover, In-Wash Powder in the US for some reason.

There are a bunch of places that deliver but not sure you would get it within a week and I doubt you can buy small quantities.

Why is it that it's so easy to walk into a store and buy in the US, but not readily available in Israel?
