Israel Duty Free
« on: October 02, 2011, 03:59:25 PM »
Anyone ever get busted w/ too many bottles of alcohol entering Israel? What was the tax/penalty on the extra bottle?

I bought three bottles as they were on special when buying 3...but realized that we can only bring in two....any tips?

Obviously, it's only a problem if they call you aside...and yes you want to put the big box inside a suitcase to avoid looking suspect...thanks!

I dont think there is too much to worry

I think regarding cigarettes the max is 2 cartons, and people always bring a suitcase

We're allowed to bring in as much as we want and not declare it and also ignore the visa rules, because we're jewish and it's our country.

Had a friend that was busted with 5 bottles after handling they let him keep the 3 most expensive ones.... don't know how much they wanted in tax/penaltys but It  wasn't worth it and he just left it there!!!!
P.s. u can always try asking someone to carry it through, just don't offer them a free trip to lezensk via japan bec it wont fly :)

Its not what they are after, I wouldn't worry about it.

Put one bottle away, and walk prominently with the duty-free bag containing two around, and all will be fine iy"H.

Tonight, 19 (YET) Kislev, is the wedding of Yakov Yosef Ben Raizel Greenwald.
Airlines sending me "We're in this together" emails.

Bruh, where were you when my suitcase weighed it 51.50 pounds?
