I believe you have to have a linked Chase checking account for that.

Both.

10 points and 10% bonus on your points earned (so total of 1.1 cents cashback per dollar spent, plus 10 cents per purchase).

I don't think you have to sign up for it, call the number on the back of your Freedom card and ask to make sure you're eligible.

I don't want to take away any money from tzedaka but you get 10% back this quarter when you shop at kohls with the freedom card. I believe that kohls sells some gas and other third party gc's. So you can just go to kohls and buy $1500 worth of gas cards and save yourself $150.

You're not taking away from Tzedakah. People are saving money on gas, so they'll have more to donate

the only problem is that the bonus categories are only good for $1500 each quarter.

My point is that donating to Tzedakah will be done anyway, only on a different CC

Good point! Personally I don't have the freedom card but when I went onto the UR Mall and clicked on "buy gift cards" it gives me the option to buy kohls gc's with an extra 10 pts/$ but when I click on the link it says excluding giftcards. Anyone have any idea what that's all about?

The link specifically stated 10 extra points on Kohl's GCs? If it said that I'd take a screenshot and insist I deserve the 10%.

Isn't that the point mall selling you the GCs? Could be it's different in that situation?

You're right I got that too but when you continue on, on the next page you'll see the "no gc's" in the terms and restrictions. I find it very interesting though that the t&r restrict ALL gc purchases
