How does it work with a baby in business class?
Excuse my ignorance, getting familiar with the forum, but not there yet. J is business? And y is economy?
What is your question exactly?

Is there space to put the infant in a car seat so he could sleep? That was my original question, in coach I'd buy him a seat, is there space and will they allow a car seat in business?

You be be able to get a bassinet. Additionally, if lie flat, you may have room to put one, but otherwise not really room for a car seat.

Thanks for the info. As of right now I have 3 coach on Airberlin to Israel and 2 for the way back. I'm trying to get some more miles and then maybe I'll upgrade to business if possible. Thanks for all the info. It's good to have this forum, even though I haven't used it so much yet. Thanks Dan and all the other guys.

It depends on the plane.

I have had a extra seat where they let me put the car seat I also had where there was enough room on the floor to put the car seat (although then the seat could not recline)

Really not sure if there is a better way to do this (if so please let me know).

I booked around 6-7 weeks ago for my Israel trip for Pessach on Air Canada. I requested a bassinet in Economy and they said that they registered it but couldn't confirm it yet. Turned out that I didn't end up getting it. I just don't understand this process: Either you have one available and then if I requested it while available, I should get it. Or they are all taken and then you can tell me that they are all taken already.

Why this ambiguity?

Right, thats what I thought as well. Thus my annoyance with the way they handled my request. Just tell me no if its full already.
Also thought that airlines kept blocked of seats for child-mother type situations. After this flight I am not so sure anymore being that my daughter was rows removed from any of us and it took a lot of patience to get them to resolve this (again!).

Do Israeli hotels give issues for bringing an infant into the room? The rooms are officially only for 2 adults. I'm planning on staying in the wadolf and crowne plaza Jerusalem.

Not sure if there is a better thread for this. I was flying domestic with wife and toddler. He didn't have I'd. TSA agent asked him if he knew my name. Is that normal? Never had that before. Sometimes they will ask him his name...
