It's not meant to be an investment.
So why buy? Lease and pay for the extra miles and give the car back when done.

Buying happens to generally be cheaper than leasing. But that's not the thread topic

That's more than I pay for 6 months of a Tesla M3+Odyssey  ;D

Wrong thread.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

The worst investment! A car keeps on deappreciating -  no matter how well you maintain it - unless you waiting for a museum to buy it off....
Unlike the money you give to Hertz or a leasing company where you get a 20% annual return.

Are you aware of how leasing math works? Do you know that a predetermined depreciation is part of the formula (and you'll have to pay for extra wear and tear, but get no credit if wear and tear is less than average).

Any car lease on a new car you are paying the value of a drive off the lot car.  If you buy an even slightly used car you are saving that drop in value. In general buying will be cheaper. Depreciation is in the first few years and when you lease they include that in your monthly price
