Who said it wasn't. Not every crime is prosecuted, but just because person A didn't get prosecuted for jaywalking doesn't mean that person B is free to jaywalk. In addition, TRU was experiencing some major other problems at the time, so maybe they were worrying about other things.

Personally, I wish that I had never become involved in this thread. I've tried returning the items online, but it won't allow me to, even though they should be returnable.
Why did you order in the first place if it is against your principles and it is making you feel so stressed and regretful? It’s not about if you can, it’s about whether you should or not.

The adrenaline of the deal got the better of me for a little but now I've realized my mistake. It's also a lot more real when you have 10 boxes from Target.com sitting by your doorstep than a list on your screen. In any case, I placed a large sign on my door rejecting any deliveries from Target.com, so I've already rejected all deliveries since Shabbos, except for one more package of flour which the USPS decided to deliver anyway.

PS: you need to update your signature to include Messi  ;)

They are trolling now?

But in all seriousness, they are terrible packers. I can't believe how they are not bleeding money the way they pack things.

Indeed. Target is clueless when it comes to packing for shipment. They are primarily a Brick and Mortar chain. They entered e-commerce because that's what's needed in order to compete/survive in today's day and age. They have a huge distribution advantage with their store footprint for local pickup (and now possibly local delivery with ship). They keep on experimenting with various options for that. But when it comes to shipping items, they simply don't know how to pack.

Back in the day when it made sense, Google Express/Costco packed excellent. Amazon also packs very well.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

+10000

got a box today big enough to fit a person into with 6 bottles of oil plus everything else from my order!
I don't even know how it made it to my doorstep still partially closed it was so misshaped and torn....at least they were smart enough to put the oil in individual sealed bags!

Dead?

When I add the items to the cart it does not show up as 0.00 anymore. The website also updates the listing from price not available to the regular price after adding to the cart. It has happened with 2 different products in 2 different stores.

Got you, sometimes the excitement of a deal and the adrenaline get the better of us, I ordered more stuff than I can use , some items were damaged in shipping, will donate the rest to charities.
George Best in his prime in the late seventies was worth Messi x 10, what Messi and Ronaldo do today he did fifty years ago, check him out. :)

Which means they would be losing money off of this even if you paid full price. Can't believe that multi-billion dollar corporations don't understand why Amazon is outflanking them at every turn. It's called logistics.

For decades Walmart was the king of Logistics and Data Mining. Amazon does seem to be great at logistics (and probably data mining and AI), but that doesn't mean they don't pack things wrong. I've posted once about chairs that were packed one each in huge boxes.

I did, and I realized after I posted. Surprised that it's arriving in a regular USPS envelope via mail, not even certified.

So a bunch of my orders were returned to sender because the stuff leaked and ups decided it was not deliverable.

When it got delivered back to target i got an email saying that "Your items have arrived from order #.." and that it was delivered to my home address.

Is there any harm in reaching out to target to try to get them to resend it, or should i just leave it alone?

most of my shipments had an error and said damaged in shipment it came all bandaged up with tons of packing tape and leaking all over the place but not complaining, I think I got most of it.

That doesn't like sound like they packed it wrong.

They probably get a better rate for two 20 pound boxes, than one 40 pound box.

Once the weight reaches a certain threshold, it can get more expensive. Also sometimes dimensional weight comes into play.
