The only "scary" part of AMM is going through security, once you get through there is nothing worrying.

Hes right. I took anything out of my backpack that had my tefillin that could possibly make them search it, they were really confused why I took out my laptop and tiny liquids when they just told me not to.

I got a full inspection...even though I was just connecting from another RJ flight... They inspected everything, ncluding emptying my Tallis bag. Other than the hassle, that was the only issues I had.

I actually had a great experience with them. Firstly, they let me bring a few cartons of chalav omed without any issues. Secondly, when my kid was yelling non stop each flight attendant took a turn holding him. The only part I found interesting was when we boarding the plane in America, they were asking about how much cash we had and probably 80% of them had cash taken away.

I had no problem in Turkey. I was actually most shocked in Qatar, they waived it through the 2 times I flew through there with no issues. Jordan took them out and inspected them.

My flight was TLV-JFK
On the connection in Amman before boarding the flight at the gate, they emptied every single bag including my hatbox and teffilin.
It was just a hassle and they seem to be enjoying it.
Other than that, there were no issues whatsoever on the actual flights. They were very friendly.

Yea. Apparently they had more than allowed per family. They have to go to court to get it back.

You are allowed to take as many currency as you wish, you do need to declare it. Failure to declare it can lead to seizure

Yea. Sorry. That part wasn't clear. It was border control agents. Like 10 of them. First time I ever encountered it.

Thanks! Anyone else recently do this flight with kids? Asking for family. Last time they had this same length stopover in Rome and barely made it. Though I imagine Rome is a worse airport.
