What insurances do you buy when renting a car?

Just wanted to point out - that when you rent a car the car rental covers the basic LI ($10,000) So u really gotta do damage for it to come from your assets. And a lot of personal car insurace companies cover car rentals too

I believe it's mandated by some states to offer some liability, usually they do not offer a penny more than they can get away with.

I don`t think he will find a lawyer who`s ready to sue someone pennyless. I`m not so sure he can sue an LLC for that matter, and it aint hard putting everyting on an LLC. Additionally there might be statue of limitations how many years he can sue for.

Me too. I'm judgment proof.
Even on my own car I only carry like 50k in liability, and that's only because it was only like an extra buck fifty every 6 months over the minimum.

i always buy Liability (my CC covers CDW)

but my question is if u C'V hit someone who covers the cost (doesnt have to be millions - even couple hundred or thousands) if u dont have any insurance and u didnt buy liability?

As stated earlier the rental car company covers a minimum LI it mandatory for them just like for you if you own a car to have min LI

Usually around $10,000 but in some states that the min is only 5,000 possible they only cover that

Also I think the better question to ask is why people take the minimum on their car they drive every day, but when it comes to renting a car for a few days they buy full coverage??
