Using Starwood nights and flights
« on: October 04, 2011, 05:31:06 PM »
Anyone ever use Nights and Flights? How exactly does it work and when is it worth it to use? Why isn't it ALWAYS worth it to use when staying 4 nights?

It's only worth it if you need the miles.
But if you have a program that you normally transfer anyway, its a great value.

I used it in 2007.  60K SPG for 5 nights at Sheraton J'lem+ 100K LAN.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Isn't it always worth using as long as you need that many days?? Unless I misunderstood..

You save 8,000 points.  Most people tend to use their points exclusively for hotels or miles and the 8,000 point bonus isn't compelling enough to switch their views.  If you happen to use them for both then it is worthwhile.

Of course if you can get cash and points you're probably better doing that instead.

You save 8,000 points.
If you use this option for cat. 4 wouldn't you save 10k *points.

40k*=50k Airline Miles

40k*=5 nights with 5th night free.

Totaling 80k*

But if you use the N&F option, you are saving 10k.

Are my calculations correct?

The good old days.
Airlines sending me "We're in this together" emails.

Bruh, where were you when my suitcase weighed it 51.50 pounds?
