In order to get those price plans it needs to be a direct flight. At least ottawa to dc cant get a direct flight.

How do i determine the cost when there is a stop involved?

each leg would be considered its own flight and you need to check the chart to see which category each falls in to find the respective KM requirement...

First go onto aa.com and try to get a award ticket for each leg (you dont need points or even a account to do this). then you see if its direct or not - if its not direct you need to calculate each leg...

It's probably not worth using LAN on a flight with a stop.

A round trip or open-jaw is required.
An example of open jaw that I booked is LGA-YUL(Montreal) and YUL-ORD(Chicago).
You could also book ORD-CLE and LGA-ORD as an open-jaw.  It seems fairly flexible.

Are there any other partner airline with LAN other than AA to use when flying domestic short haul?
