Not much information to find.

I have a wedding in June in northern Cyprus is it safe for Jews as it’s under Turkey?

Also I see there is some kosher hotels any reviews? From what I have read there is not much to there.

TIA

When I was there last it seemed to be a pleasure
I felt 0 animosity

and any Arabs that were there were vacationing
or living there but in a business setting

Snorkeling in larnaca
« Reply #122 on: August 23, 2022, 10:54:13 AM »
Looking to use ihg points for beach close to tlv.  Thought maybe larnaca.  Anybody go in late September/ October? Can you snorkel?  Is there anywhere you can just enter the water and snorkel that time of year?  Have anyone used one of the dive shops in larnaca that they can recommend?
Anywhere else within a few hours of tlv that we can use ihg points and get a beach/ snorkeling experience?

Going to Larnaca for a few days soon.  Any suggestions for things to do without a car for 2-3 days this time of year?

Bump

Probably too late for you but maybe will help someone else, it's the "Blue Lagoon kosher hotel", located relatively farther out near the "Tombs of the kings" (which apparently are not kings), the hotel is very family friendly, has rooms fully equipped with all the appliances you would need, washing machine, full size fridge, microwave, stovetop, dish washer, toaster. The rooms themselves were clean, the other sections of the hotel were less impressive, the food was pretty mediocore, the dining room kind of dirty, the pool also seemed kinda falling apart. There is a shul with regular minyanim at least in peak season.

In terms of location, it's pretty close to some of the archaeology and right on the water, they organize a number of activities out of the hotel, there is not much kosher food available although items are pretty cheap, you can buy fruits vegetables etc. There is a bus from the airport but it's pretty unreliable and takes a long time, if you want to maximize time get "bolt" and order a 30 Euro cab, the bus is only 1.5 for adult and 50% for kid but as noted shows up occasionally unrelated to schedule. There are a LOT of Israelis in Paphos and the hotel actually has all the signs in Hebrew.

All in all, can be great for a family the rooms are great the rest is more like a 3 start hotel. The location is very chilled, airport is small and easy to navigate, has a small but nice lounge for PP.

Came back from there in February. Unfortunately we did not have luck with minyan though there were well over 20 families there at the time....When we booked online there was an option for a free shuttle to the hotel as a perk.

Food was ok, no lunch service just breakfast and dinner. There are I believe 2 kosher options in the area and listening to other people that tried them it sounded really good.

The hotel is on the water but there is no real beach. It is the rocky area of Cyprus.

Does anyone have a nice Airbnb that you stayed in that worked out? With a nice pool.
Thanks!

I landed in LCA and put kosher into google maps and it brought me to a vegetarian falafel place which was well priced and tasty.theres not much seating, when I walked in there was no one there, but a few minutes later a whole group of Israelis walked in so it felt a little tight. The food is super fresh. Only a 10 minute drive from the airport and 2 minutes drive to chabad.

For a small place Cyprus seems to have a multiplicity of (Master) Threads  ::)

Seriously, What is there to do there for a laid back 24 hour couple getaway? (from the kids, before Pesach, move to new house, a simcha Iy"h...) Is there anything that's "Must see"? where are the nice stretches of beaches (as opposed to rocky shore line)? If we're flying into LCA, is there a point on going to Papos or is that over doing it?
Which acceptable hotels (not looking for 5 star - just to use a chase sapphire $50 hotel credit and maybe a bit more...) are near a chabad (is there a point on being near? will there be minyanim at the beginning of March?)
Thinking of taking a car just for the convenience of it - is there anything to beware of?
