Marriott wont count my 3 rooms / 2 nights for 6 nights

I called Marriott to complain that they did not count all of my nights for my stay of 3 rooms for 2 nights at the same hotel. I told them i should received 6 nights towards the status. They said the system wont recognize it as 6 nights only 1 room will be given the nights earned.

Is this correct?

Is this a daily thing now where someone will open a thread asking why their Marriott nights are not counting for status?
