You do have a point. Someone once quoted RabbiI Yisroel Meir Hacohen Kagan and response was I don't give a rats tail what some senile old fart has to say.
Your analogy is flawed. A more accurate one would be if a group of Catholics would get together on a Sunday to have a catechism class, and someone would bring a video of some Mulsim supreme leader to support or strengthen a point of view, or make a certain argument.
While the language used by CBC isn't one I think I would ever use, I can relate (and agree) with his criticism, which I see as directed at the OP OF THIS THREAD, not at the Pope.
