Thanks to SPLP for the warning - though a month too late for me!

I purchased a $250 Delta GIFT card from on Isma05 for $200.00 on Feb 7, 2019.    I never used the gift card.   Today after seeing the message on the board from SPLP, I checked the balance available on the gift card.   It showed only $3.40  Again, I never used the Gift Card.

I contacted Isma05 and asked for a refund.   They indicated that it was my fault for not using quickly and would not refund my money.   I asked where the gift card was purchased and they said traded for miles.   

After refusing to refund me, Isma05 offered me a replacement $250 Delta Gift Card and said I should pay another $50 because they were not sure I was Honest!   Again, I did not use the gift card and I did not share the information with anyone.

I was willing to give Isma05 the benefit of the doubt - thinking that they accidentally sold duplicate cards.  They denied selling twice and blamed me for not using right away.   I am suspect of this being legitimate and would rather be a fool and lose $200 than be party to a suspect and possibly illegal transaction.
 
Isma05 thinks there are issues with me because I have posted only 5 times since 2015.   However, I have purchased from this forum many times over the years and never had problems.

I was the first to post a warning about @Isma05 several months ago and asked the moderators to ban him before more damage is done to other members. I have no idea why does anyone purchase from him. The reason he says use cards immediately is these cards are purchased with stolen credit card numbers , or they hack hotel or mileage accounts and purchase gift cards with them. By the way, a while back my Radisson Rewards account was hacked, over a million points were used to purchase Amazon GCs.  Radisson did refund my points.

@ludmila, already mentioned this on the thread of Amazon GC. It is sad to see people keep on buying from him for a cheap deal and gets into trouble.

I never bought from this guy. The new profile and ridiculously cheap prices for large denominations of delta always turned me off.

What's very interesting is, even after scamming most people he makes a fuss about the gc being used.. and then offers to reimburse the buyer.
   So at the end of the day he seems to complete the transaction with the buyer, just some times he likes making trouble.

   Yes the only info he has from his posts on DDF was flipping GC and coupons/vouchers.

 When you buy from card cash or wherever, they always tell you to use the balance the sooner the better. Just here it seems a day or two later it's gone. Really weird.
