For all those selling UA TB it will be much easier to sell if you convert it to ETC, book a flight wait 24hr then cancel the reservation it will come back as a ETC which you can give to anyone and can also be used on partner airlines.

It’s converted to future travel credit which can only be used by the passenger. There have been successes in converting those to an ETC but YMMV.

two issues to be aware of

1) it generally is a credit only passenger can use.
2) for the seller once you convert it has a 12 month expiration unlike travel bank which has 5 years so if the deal falls through after you convert you are stuck with an expiration date. As a seller I would rather hold TB than convert to ETC and hope I will sell it

All I'm saying is that if you are looking to sell it will be much easier if it wasn't TB because those have more restrictions on what it can be used for
