I was in AC on Thursday. But this is good for future use, if they're still around.

Status Matching our way through Atlantic City Trip Report

October 10th a deal (https://www.dansdeals.com/points-travel/hotel-deals/match-hotel-status-wyndham-caesars-total-rewards-free-stays/) was posted to match to Wyndham top tier Diamond status. The status match is currently still being offered at the time of this post. Easiest way for most people to match to Diamond, would be from IHG Platinum status, obtained for free with the IHG Credit Card from Chase.

From Wyndham Diamond you can get a status match to Caesars Total Rewards Diamond status (https://www.caesars.com/total-rewards/tr-partners/wyndham_resorts). With the Diamond status on account, we booked a night at Caesars Atlantic City for $33+tax. Resort fee is waived for Diamond members. Room we booked was in the Ocean Tower.

To get to Atlantic City, we decided to go with Greyhound Lucky Streak. Greyhound can be booked online (in-advance) for about $20-30 RT. If purchased in the station, it costs a flat rate of $44 RT. A $25 Slot Credit is offered only when the tickets are purchased in the station. The $25 credit is offered from the Casino's. So the credit you get would depend on the Hotel where you get dropped off at.

The Greyhound buses leave from the lower level of Port Authority at gate 80. There is a bus that leaves to Atlantic City about every half hour. You can stand on line to go on any bus time, for the same date of your ticket. Return ticket is open ended and may be used anytime within 4 days of the outbound ticket.

We took a 3:30pm bus to Resorts Hotel. Bus for this trip was from the older non-refurbished buses. There were no outlets at the seats. Bus was probably about 65% full.

At Resorts Hotel we were offered a $25 slot machine credit from the hotel. The credit must be used before 6:00am the following day. Resorts no longer offers a match to Caesars Diamond status.

A quick note about Slot Credits: SC's cannot be cashed out at face value. You get slot machine comped credit loaded on to your card. That card can be used in the machines. Any money you win by playing the slots, can be withdrawn and turned into cash.

From Resorts we walked the 15 minutes over to Caesars Atlantic City to check in. We were assigned a room on the 8th floor of the hotel with a partial ocean view. Caesars issued the Diamond cards for us from our account and offered a choice of either $10 Table credit or a free beverage worth up to $10.

With the Diamond cards in hand we walked over to Hard Rock Atlantic City for a status match. Hard Rock offered to match us to HR Rock Royalty Wild Card status (https://www.hardrockhotelatlanticcity.com/promotions/wild-card-tier-match).

Benefits of the match include:
1) 2 free nights at Hard Rock Atlantic City. Must be used within 3 months.
2) $100 free slot machine credit. Must be used within 7 days.
3) Legends Lounge or Fresh Harvest Buffet access for 2. Must be used within 30 days.
4) 2 Tickets to Motor City Live.
5) 2 Tickets to Howie Mandel Comedy Club.

We headed into the Casino to use our credit and were able to convert it into cash at about 80% value each.

From there we walked 7 minutes over to Ocean Resort. Ocean no longer offers a match to Caesars Diamond status. They did offer a $15 SC for signing up to an Ocean Premier member card. Got about 200% cash value using it at the slots. At that time it was 11:30pm so we took a ~$6 uber back to Caesars for the night.

In the morning we walked 5 minutes over to the Starbucks at the Tropicana Hotel and Casino. Tropicana does not offer a match to Caesars Diamond status. They did offer a $5 SC for signing up to a Trop Advantage member card.

We took a ~$7 uber from there to Borgata Atlantic City. Borgata offered to match us to MLife Gold status (https://www.theborgata.com/casino/m-life-rewards/m-life-rewards-gold-trade-up), valid through September 2020.

Benefits of the match include:
1) 1 free night at Borgata Atlantic City. Must be used within 3 months.
2) $100 free slot machine credit or table credit. Must be used within 30 days.
3) Amphora Lounge or Borgata Buffet access for 2. Must be used within 30 days.

We headed into the Casino to use our credit and were able to convert it into cash at about 90% value each.

The Amphora Lounge at the Borgata is one level down from the Casino. Not very comfortable or relaxing place IMO. We took a ~$7 uber from there back to Hard Rock and accessed the Legends Lounge. This Lounge was way better and calmer place to relax.

We took a bus back that night. This bus was a newer bus with double outlets at each seat and working WiFi.

Post Trip: MLife Gold Status (from Borgata match) gets you Hyatt mid-tier Explorist status (https://world.hyatt.com/content/gp/en/rewards/other-partnerships.html). Simply enter MLife and Hyatt account number online to have the accounts linked and status updates instantly.

Benefits of the match include:
1) Receive 4 Club lounge access awards which include breakfast daily.
2) Enjoy an upgraded room based on availability at check-in, excluding suites and rooms with Club lounge access.

Special thanks to @thewhoareyou for this thread - https://forums.dansdeals.com/index.php?topic=95340.0.

Will all of these matches still work if you already have the lowest level of each of the atlantic city casino cards?

Great info. Just btw, Borghata will not give you a SC if you were a member with them previously, at any tier. You can possibly make a new account to get matched to gold in order to receive it, I know their online accounts and in-person Accounts often stay separate for example

Cool! I somehow missed this deal on DDMS but after reading your write up I am going to try status matching. Love the free four night stay at Atlantis Royal Tower. That's what I'm aiming for!
