What Are The Top 10 Places You've Been To?

Was nasty, smelly, very 3rd world.  That works for me in Chiang Mai where I come expecting it, but it was a bit of a shock to have that in a resort destination like Phuket.
If you're thinking of a honeymoon there you may be in for a surprise.

To be fair I was warned beforehand by Levi, but didn't believe hm based on the hype of the place. 
The Le Meridian Khao Lak was nice, but we had major issues with our pool villa (see trip report on DD) that were never addressed properly.  And it took many scary hours of driving to get there from Chabad of Phuket.

Really depends on the part of the Island you are staying on. I've found both "towns" in Koh Samui and Phuket to be touristy and disgusting though other points of the Island to be gorgeous.

My advice would be to try and stay in one of the all-villa resorts such as SALA or the Banyan Tree as they have a much more Asian feel to them and feel more exotic

Still have to go through that nasty HKT airport and if you want to go to Chabad through nasty Patong.
Far from an idyllic honeymoon location that it's made out to be.

Sure stuff is cheap, but there's really no comparison of Phuket to a place like Kauai.

Taking in the Thai experience in Chiang Mai though was great, I'm just not a fan of Thailand as a resort destination.

+1. Loved Chiang Mai. To bad the days of buy 1 get 1 free at the Mandarin Oriental are gone. That place is majestic!

Rented a villa at Airlie Beach with some friends and did a lot of the day trips.

Don't have much a TR because we spent most of the time at the hotel (Amankila). Visited some of the palaces and did some hikes in East Bali. We also did a snorkeling trip. Lots of driving around and shopping too

1)   Atlantic City-Don’t remember any of it but B’H we managed to hitch a ride home. Still trying to piece together the rest of it
2)   Los Angeles- Went collecting there with a bunch of Chevra on Purim. Rented a convertible and blasted music all day. Yeshiva took a 10k loss and now gets paid by a local Baal Habus not to send guys there. Need I say more?
3)   California-Would highly recommend for anyone going to L.A. Nature is amazing
4)   San Diego-Had to show my passport to get in, but cheap beer and ATV’ing can’t be beat. Also known as Tijuana
5)   Las Vegas- Didn’t really go there but tell everyone I did because we flew over it on the way to L.A. 
6)   Hunter Mountain-Skiing+Cheap Beer=Free Snowmobile Rides
7)   ESPN Zone (Anywhere)-Not sure why, but the girls I take usually think it’s a bit much for a first date (Sore losers)
   Shea Stadium-Especially fun this summer when Stubhub actually paid you to go. Much better hot dogs than Yankee Stadium
9)   Montreal-Went to friends Chasuna there and learnt  French curse words. 3 speeding tickets in each direction. Anti Semites at the border told us that Niagra Falls was on the way to Toronto. Is Canada really that big?
10)   Woodbury Commons-By a small margin over Jersey Gardens (during the zman) and Franklin Mills (Bein Hazmanim)

Would have to agree with this.

Though Chaweng (in Koh Samui) was disgusting, the Conrad and the surrounding area were stunning.

The Chanad in Chaweng though was the exception. Brand new and beautiful.

Still true. Very cheap and easy flight, so low effort to get there. Amazing food scene. Great weather. Not Miami. What else do you need?
