I'm not sure what the questions are.  If its a large chain store it probably wont work, if it's a single store it will work.

Not always true. last year pomegranate in flatbush didn't qualify even though it's not part of a chain

I guess they process too much in Amex cards...

(or they're classified as a supermarket vs. a grocery,, or the way the Amex merchant account is set up, or something else, who knows)

Spoke to Amex. Pomegranate is not listed as a small business. Instead, it is listed as a corporation. Use your card someplace else to get the credit.

I can't imagine why it didn't work though.

Just registered my 2 main cards and 10 AUs

On Saturday November, 26th (the day after my favorite day of the year – Black Friday), if you spend $25+ with a registered American Express card at a small business, you will get a statement credit for $25. You can only receive one credit per American Express card, however, there really is no limit on the number of cards registered (corporate cards are excluded).

You must register first https://sync.americanexpress.com/sbs2011.  I would highly recommend doing it now as only a limited number of cards that can be registered – do not miss out! If you are registering multiple cards, I would recommend using different email addresses.

To find out participating Small Businesses in your area, go to Small Business Saturday Facebook page, click the + sign next to “See where you can shop to earn your $25 statement credit,” enter your zip code,  and enter your zip code, and click “Go.”

It's not letting me register AU.

"Oops, our records show that you've already registered for this offer. We limit the number of times that a Cardmember can register for each offer."

If you are trying to register the citi card it's not going to work for the AU's if they have the same number as the primary card

I don't get it. It showed me a Sprint store and a Sunoco gas station- Those aren't small businesses- What am I missing?

Those might be 3rd parties and Amex didn't pick up on the fact that they are part of a 'franchise'

(not that Sprint 3rd party dealerships are considered fanchises AFAIK)

Perhaps this excludes pomegranate? Anyone know about Empire Kosher, if that works it's a grate place as they easily allow you to charge for credit.
