If a "merchant" is telling me that their payments are processed immediately, but not settled till the next day, will that be a problem for getting credited for payments made tomorrow night? I'm a little confused by all the "processed" vs. "settled" mumbo jumbo.

if i didn't get a conformation from amex after seeing the charge as pending  does that mean i am not going to get the credit? should i swipe else were?
