I made a post on how some might be scamming Amex. I would have never done that before I came to this forum.

how are people scamming amex?
i emailed them for 2 reasons 1) they took over a month to send me my cards (dont think anything is wrong in asking them to honor the promo) 2) my merchant swiped my card on sun afternoon (what is wrong with me asking to make sure i am getting the promo?)

Dont think u.  I think helpme means ppl are are asking Amex to refund it manually and then hoping the computer refunds it automatically and this way it was 50$ double diping :-).  U never swiped so ur in a diff boat

he means if not for the fact that he spent on your card. Though I guess you have to ask your LOR because I heard from a few people like you said that it would be ribbis for you to let him pay the interest

after reading thru pages of lamdanus back and forth, i still didnt see an answer

did most people already get their credits?
i made 12 to one store - no credit yet
1 to square - got the credit, came up as credit from square
and last to a diff place - no credit

amex is giving me 25 for my card and additional user eventhugh just got approved on 11/24 and received cards today....free $50...not bad
(and im not stuck with gift certificates...long lines etc)
