If you have 50 Amex cards (5 Amex cards with 10 AU's each), you'll still get $500. How long will it take you to register all these cards? An hour? 2 hours? If that's not worth your time, then I'm sure the $25 per card wasn't a big deal either for most people on this forum. C'mon ppl, it's free money, if you don't like it, don't register - but don't complain either.

Its not just the 2 hours to register you have to then use all those 50 cards in one night! With the promo only being for $10 I'm sure many stores will not be bending over backwards like previous years to open up motze shabbos channukah for a $10 per card promo....

Wow so many complaints! I mean it's free money please! Can you imagine if it started off as $5 and they would have raised it to $10?

Does anyone see any tzedakas on the SBS map? The terms exclude them, and it looks like they actually left most of them off the map this year. So there's a good chance those transactions won't be credited.

So, I have a couple of questions about the SPG card in light of the fact that we'll only get $10 on SBS this year. I'm not cc savvy, only to the extent that I signed up for cards for the bonuses but don't take much advantage of them.

My husband and I each have SPG cards (to get the sign up bonus). I hardly ever use the card. I usually use the chase freedom and chase sapphire (although I don't know how good either of these are w/r/t SPG). I actually just paid the annual fee this past month but was thinking it may be worth it due to SBS. But to pay $65 for a $10 credit is NOT worth it at all. So:

1) Does it pay to cancel?
2) Has anyone cancelled their SPG (to open again in the future) and successfully moved a portion of their credit line to another card? Which card is recommended (I'm assuming it will be a fee-free Amex)
3) After I cancel, can my husband add myself and our baby as AUs to HIS card? That way we'll have 3 credits. I can't think of any other way to play this.
4) AUs must share the same address, correct? Will I be harming my baby's credit by adding his as an AU?

1) The SPG card is probably from the better cards to do day to day spending on if you don't want to be busy with the bonus categories on other cards.
2) Why not downgrade to the Starwood fee free card?
3) He can add both of you.
4) As long as the card is in good standing it should not hurt your childs credit.

Its not starwood it may be blue cash or lots of other amex cards, call them and ask. Your not canceling a card and you keep the same credit line..
